Szczawnica is nestled in a picturesque landscape, thanks to its proximity to the Pieniny National Park and the Dunajec River Gorge. To the north, the city is surrounded by the Radziejowa Mountains (984 m), and to the south, by the Małe Pieniny Mountains with their peaks: Rabsztyn (847 m) and Wysoka (1052 m), and further down at the mouth of the valley, by the Pieniny Mountains with Sokolica (747 m) and Trzy Korony (982 m). All this makes Szczawnica one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Poland.
The tradition of the famous rafting trip through the Pieniny Mountains, known as the Dunajec River Gorge, dates back to the early 19th century. Over time, it has evolved into one of the most popular tourist attractions in Poland and Europe. This is due to both the unique experience of rafting through a swiftly flowing mountain river canyon, and the beauty of the Pieniny landscape's flora and fauna, many of which are preserved in their pristine state.

Dunajec River Rafting – a whitewater rafting adventure on the Sromowce Wyżne-Szczawnica route. Suitable for both advanced and beginner participants.
Kayaking on the Dunajec River - kayaking on mountain rivers in two-person inflatable units under the supervision of an instructor does not require great technical skills, but provides great satisfaction from conquering the river.
There is a bicycle route nearby, which you can take towards Krościenko or Szczawnica and further around the Pieniny Mountains.
Our Villa is also a good base for trips to nearby Slovakia; the border can be crossed at the Szczawnica-Leśnica tourist crossing.
In the town of Szczawnica there are numerous sanatoriums, health resorts, and springs of mineral and medicinal water.
