Bacówka Pod Małą Rawką

The PTTK mountain hut at Mała Rawka is located in the Bieszczady National Park, 1500 meters from the parking lot on Wyżniańska Pass. Formerly known as Prislip, it separates the Caryńska Połonina range from the Mała and Duża Rawka massifs . The hut is located at the foot of Mała Rawka. It was built between 1977 and 1979. In 1979, it was opened as the second mountain hut in the Bieszczady Mountains, designed by Edward Moskała. The facility accommodates 24 guests in double, triple, and multi-person rooms. It offers accommodation and catering year-round. It is an excellent base for mountain excursions. In winter, it is a true mecca for ski tourers in the Bieszczady Mountains. The facility is undergoing gradual renovations, without affecting its functionality. The dining room and kitchen facilities have been renovated. All beds and mattresses have been replaced. Renovations to the smallest rooms in the hut have now begun. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available for purchase at the facility. There's a wide selection of beverages, sweets, alcoholic beverages, and souvenirs. Numerous musical events, a slide show, and author meetings are organized. Around the shepherd's hut, there's a relaxation area with views of the mountain pastures and a play area for children. There's a sauna on site, and starting in October 2026, a Russian banya and extensive regeneration facilities will be available. Bicycles, snowshoes, crampons, and ski touring equipment are available for rent.

We offer 25 beds in 2, 3, 4-person and multi-person rooms.

Bed linen is standard in double rooms; sleeping bags are provided in other rooms, or our own bedding is available for an additional fee. A fitted sheet is included with each stay. Footwear is required in the shelter's sleeping area. Smoking and the use of fire are strictly prohibited in the hut. The facility is under constant fire monitoring. Triggering an alarm will result in a hefty fine. The facility is monitored in common areas, including the hallway, dining room, and stairwell.

The facility includes: internet access, dining room with fireplace, tourist buffet, toilets and showers.

On-site facilities include a campsite, bicycle, snowshoe, and cross-country ski rentals, a bonfire area, and parking is available 900 meters from the building. In the summer, there's ample space around the hut for relaxation, including deckchairs and tables.

The PTTK shepherd's hut under Mała Rawka is a wooden facility, open all year round.

At guests' disposal: library, board games.

A wood-fired sauna is also available. A playground and a grilling and frying area are currently under construction.

For active people: hiking trails, ski touring, ski station, Bieszczady Narrow Gauge Railway.

We offer delicious homemade food: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

On-site: dining room with fireplace, tourist buffet open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Bacówka is known for its blueberry pancakes and good coffee. It offers extensive breakfasts and several dishes: żurek (a rye soup), tomato soup, seasonal dishes, pierogi, pancakes, and meat dishes. A wide selection of beverages, teas, and beers is also available.

Bacówka is located in the Bieszczady National Park, in the Lutowiska commune.

The location of the shepherd's hut is a good starting point for trips to the most interesting parts of the Bieszczady Mountains.
