In 2026, we rebuilt our hotel area practically from scratch. We tore out the floors, walls, and all the bathroom tiles to create a completely new space—more comfortable, modern, and meticulously crafted.

The new apartments feature walls finished with premium designer wallpapers from Vesstige and exceptionally durable and prestigious Flotex carpets from Swiss company Forbo – among the most valued solutions of their kind in the world. The bathrooms have been completely redesigned, with elegant finishes, walk-in showers, and striking LED lighting integrated into the walls, creating an intimate, modern atmosphere.

Along with the general renovation, we also installed an advanced ducted air conditioning system combined with heat recovery in all hotel rooms. This allows the apartments to maintain the perfect temperature on warmer days, while also providing a constant supply of fresh air through installed air vents. This solution significantly improves comfort and ensures the interior remains pleasant regardless of the weather.

In the living rooms, guests can enjoy televisions of unprecedented size by hotel standards – 65-inch 4K Samsung screens with the latest Neo QLED technology. We've also ensured something not always immediately apparent, but crucial to a comfortable stay: silence. The doors to the apartments are heavy, 42 dB acoustic doors, equipped with drop-down seals to further improve acoustics.

Pod Kolumnami is a restaurant and hotel rooms designed for guests looking for more than just a place to stay. Established in 2010, the property is located in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland – a place where history, nature, and exceptional cuisine meet in one space.

We are located in close proximity to the famous ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle, just minutes from the restored Pilcza Castle in Smoleń, and across the street from the ruins of the Pilica Palace and its vast park. Pod Kolumnami is located on a charming, quiet, granite street, which immerses guests in the unique atmosphere of this place from the very first moment.

From 2026, our hotel guests can also enjoy an additional relaxation area, featuring a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. This new service at our facility, designed to provide even more complete relaxation after a day spent exploring the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, an active vacation, or simply as a way to enjoy a moment of quiet relaxation during your stay at Pod Kolumnami.

Pod Kolumnami is also an ideal venue for special occasions, family gatherings, celebrations, and business events. Our restaurant offers a total of five atmospheric rooms, allowing you to create a unique setting for a variety of events – from intimate gatherings with loved ones, through christenings, communions, birthdays, and anniversaries, to weddings and larger family gatherings.

Each of our rooms has its own unique character, allowing us to tailor the space to the type of event, number of guests, and desired atmosphere. We prioritize not only a beautiful setting and a comfortable atmosphere, but above all, the cuisine, which is one of the most important elements of any successful event. Pod Kolumnami receptions combine hospitality, elegance, excellent organization, and memorable dishes.

Our facility also features a well-equipped conference room, ideal for training sessions, corporate meetings, presentations, and workshops. Guests have access to a projector, flipchart, and professional sound system, allowing for the comfortable organization of both intimate business meetings and larger events.

As of 2026, we've added a new service to our facility – a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. Guests can also enjoy a pool table located in our restaurant. Our restaurant also features a children's corner.

Right next to our facility there is a public tennis court, beach volleyball court, basketball court, and soccer field.

There is a public playground just 50 meters from the property.

On the ground floor and in the atmospheric basement, you'll find our restaurant – the heart of Pod Kolumnami. It's here that we combine hospitality, seasonality, and culinary craftsmanship with the ambition to create dishes that will last a lifetime.

Our kitchen is staffed by, among others, Julia Wydra – a winner of the world's most prestigious culinary competition, the Bocuse d'Or, in which she served as commis chef. In the Polish edition of the competition, she placed second, alongside Grzegorz Miśta. This year, Julia is also flying to Shanghai for two weeks for the WorldSkills global finals, after emerging as the best chef in the country in the Polish edition.

In the basement of our facility stands a unique, 2.5-ton Neapolitan pizza oven, brought to us directly from Naples by Stefano Ferrara Forni. It is in this oven that we bake Neapolitan pizza, a craft taught to us by Tymoteusz Dziedzic, one of the best pizzaiolos in Poland.

Our menu also features delicious burgers, restaurant dishes, and seasonal offerings prepared with great care. We strongly emphasize seasonality and locality. Several times a week, we bring in fresh trout from a friendly fisherman, and our menu always features a seasonal menu, allowing guests to discover the best flavors right here and now.

The hotel is located in the town of Pilica, in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, on a charming street connecting the palace with the collegiate church. Housed in a building dating from the second half of the 18th century, its windows and terrace overlook either the greenery of the palace park or the hills with the tower of Smolensk Castle in the background.

Our location makes us a favorite in terms of maintaining an ideal base for exploring the entire Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. Just a 10-minute drive away are some of the most famous castle ruins in southern Poland – Ogrodzieniec Castle in Podzamcze. Another 4-minute drive away is Pilcza Castle in Smoleń, not to mention the ruins of the Pilica Palace and the Palace Gardens, located directly opposite our property.
